Red Stripe Music Awards Tour 2008
It would seem there's this enormous thing called music, and all of you out there can be a part of it. Madness we hear you cry, but darn it it's true. We're back bigger than ever for our second outing with the Red Stripe Music Award 2008, which if you're an up-and-coming band, is definitely something you should be checking out.

here and performing at one of our 50 plus venues, you could be chosen to play our final at a top London music venue before some of the industry's most respected big shots to walk away with the esteemed title of Red Stripe Music Award 2008 Winners.
As if that title's not enough, we'll also invite you to play a slot at 2 major UK festivals (one of which is The Great Escape in Brighton) and throw in a fully functioning tour van on top. So how does that grab you?
The award is about championing grass roots music and we aim to offer a genuinely talented band a foot in the door of that great big sod known as the industry. Each show will be a laugh-riot in itself, bands playing to real fans in real venues across the nation between January and March 2008 with each individual night being promoted in the run up, so those not fortunate enough to make the final will still get the chance to perform before a frenzied crowd of clapping hands and hopefully bopping heads. We're not about cheap music and banging a logo onto something phony for the sake of promotion. We genuinely support the bands we work with and take pride in the artists we select for the prize, so don't hesitate to get involved.
2007's winners from Hertford The Runners, have played the Great Escape, Shoreditch and In The City festivals for us since sauntering away with the award and have gained a fan base across Europe motivated by the bands effortlessly catchy songs and a little leg-up from us. 2007 was such a big success with so many fantastically eclectic artists getting involved, we had to bring it back for 2008 bigger and better, and if the standard is as high as last time around the competition is really on.
