Red Stripe Supports Southport Weekender May 2008
Calling All Soul Believers... Celebrating soulful music in all it’s fantastic forms, Europe’s unique and best loved indoor music festival, Southport Weekender, gets set to blow the pants off the North West again with a massive 3 day long party this coming May.
Supported by Red Stripe, the long running festival celebrates its 42nd event, which boasts an impressive DJ line up of Mr Scruff, Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay and Soul II Soul Soundsystem amongst others.
Attracting over 5000 people, the Pontins holiday complex in Southport is each year dubbed as the UK’s liveliest party. The 4 Arena’s boast a heavy weight selection of cutting edge and classic soulful music right across the board from House, Jazz, Broken Beats, Drum n Bass, Hip Hop, Deep House, RnB, Soul, Jazz Funk, Rare Groove, Nu Soul and a hefty portion of classics with performances from the world’s DJ Elite.
