The place started very slowly with only a hand full of punters braving the cold dark evening. Once inside the dim lit room, filled with dry ice and once the bands started to play, the place filled up, but was still very quite to really create a good atmosphere. The bands made the most of it and with some really different music the night offered the punters a real mix!

Opening with "Flying with Penguins" then onto the beautiful voice of Carrie McDonell, following with the Grace Emily's who got the place rocking and culminating with State of Affairs who ended the night with a real bang!

Club Ego was previously a Casino, and before that more importantly, a dancehall just after the First World War (1918!) and still has the look to prove it. A glamorous and regal ballroom style main room, with a second room underneath that houses a fish tank and the funkiest fish in club land. Ego has been established now for over 10 years as a nightclub primarily, and now, we are moving into a new era and developing into a much needed live music venue in Edinburgh.
