Reviews

The Hub in Exeter is an intimate venue set in the back on the town centre.
The first band to grace the stage on this Thursday evening was Chasing Faces, a pretty good band, with some mellow catchy tunes and a good front man, playing the keyboard and not a guitar for a change. Second were the first local band of the evening, Letters to Leaders, 3 Exeter lads with a lot of enthusiasm, I can honestly say I have ever seen anyone enjoy playing their Guitar as much as these lot! Kolo were the second local band of the evening and have been with us from the start, after a cracking performance at Cavern Club last year, these boys have not lost their touch and are due to start touring the US any day now. Headliners for the night were the sunshine Getaway, a very professional band, these chaps look like they have been working the gig circuit for a while and certainly know what they are doing. Good banter on stage and a good singer too. A great night all round.

HUB opened in late September 2007 and has developed from there. One of our main aims when HUB opened, was to establish a local venue that gives local bands the chance to play there first gig, and to provide a platform from which to develop and grow. We also bring a lot of great signed and unsigned bands to the Exeter of all different genres.
