The Underground Press Syndicate were first on at the newly renovated mi bar, no awkward playing to an empty room here, the night was packed from the start.
A young band with some good songs. Second on were Nervosa, very nice people if slightly strange looking, unfortunately not the strongest performance of the night.
The first solo artist of the evening was a very tortured young soul called Andrew Bate, who turned out to be very endearing with some lovely songs if you can get past the strange chin warbling.
Discopip were next, Cornish through and through and my favourite - the crowd went absolutely crazy - and they tell jokes too!
The Pitts (aka Thomas Pitt) was the second soloist, not for the easily offended, some strange choices of song theme but innovative with his guitar/bongo. My Elvis Blackout headlined the night and they were nothing short of fantastic as well as being achingly cool.
