The Red Stripe adventure was brought north to the town of Southport at an underground venue, aptly named The Underground. With another 4 bands looking to fight it out for the chance to win the Red Stripe Music Award, this was going to prove to be another big and exciting night.

First to take to the stage were The Glides who obviously had major influences from other young bands like The Arctic Monkeys. The energy was there and the songs also, and was a great way to start the night.

The next band who began to pull in a crowd was the Daisy Riots. This young band showed real promise with real rock diva attitude and massive songs.

The best energy was saved for My Auntie Sam who really got the support from the crowd with great songs and real charm with their performance. The great night at the Underground finished with an older and more experienced band similar to the Coral and Oasis, called the Last Stands. The north is showing so much promise and it was truly a great night thanks to all the Underground staff, the bands and the support.

'The Underground' is the first Live music venue in the sunny town of Southport to only play indie rock'n'roll 4 nights a week.
